Do Tyrol Shoes Weight More Than Other Brands?
Updated by Tyrol Support
The weight of the shoe is a combination of the more stability you build in a shoe the heavier it gets. Running shoes are light because they offer no lateral stability. When you add an outsole TPU, shank piece to offer torsion control and an outside Heel Counter it adds some weight to a shoe. Also to offer better wear on the court the Vibram outsole is a bit thicker and harder rubber which also adds a bit of weight. This is only a small margin-able increase which is hardly noticeable. The bottom line is to get the support needed in a pickleball shoe you need to add the structural pieces in our shoe.
